Hello, Marc here from outside San Antonio TX. I got back into slot cars about 6 years ago. I had T-Jets as a kid, and since getting back in, build a mix of 1/43 and 1/32 cars. I've always been fond of the club-racers of the 50s and 60s, and early Can-Am racers. I also make miniature figures along with my wife as Immense Miniatures.

Hi Folks, For those who don't know me, I got back into slot cars about 2 years ago after back surgery. Since that time I have built a 12' x 6' home track and I'm a member of Tyneside Slot Car Club. I have an ever growing collection of Scalextric cars from 1960 onward.
I was introduced to slot car building by a now very good friend David Wisdom.
I have now completed 9 scratch builds and have one 1 in progress.
I will post the builds that fit the criteria for this forum
I love this hobby.
All the best.
Brian

Hi Chris and Everyone, My name is Eric and I live in Derbyshire UK. My interest is the Dundrod Tourist Trophy and cars that participated particularly the 1955 race. I am attempting to build a representation of the grid from that year. So far I have built two an Aston Martin DB3s ( Ocar) and a Maserati A6GCS using a shell from John ( Munter) I have also stripped and rebuilt a Revell Porsche 550 Spyder. So total three and a long way to go. Great idea this Forum Chris. Thanks for setting it up.
Regards Eric

Hi guys, I am obsessed with flying things at the moment, nothing gives me more pleasure than tearing big holes in the French sky. However, I have loved racing cars all my life and that will never fade. I am very pleased to see this forum and will drop in from time to time to see what's going on. There is a GP Miniatures DBR1/300 shell and a Project 215 ? ? sat on my bench at the moment waiting for paint, don't hold your breath ............ they could be there a while.
Keep safe
Andrew

It is not surprising that the reaction to this new Sports Car One Thirty Two Scratch Build Forum has been so swift. I see many friends here.
For those members who have not yet posted, please, at the opportune time make a post which suits you. Please don't be a stranger.
Peter.

Hi all
Thanks for the invite Chris.
Based in the Isle of Man, I rediscovered my 60's childhood hobby whilst recuperating from a heart-attack in early 2007....by finding E-bay. The rest is history as they say. I am retired from my former company and am Chairman and a founder member (in 2010) of the Manx Slot Car Club. I enjoy racing, tuning and building 1/32 slot cars, particularly Sports/GT - and have travelled to the UK and Italy to compete. I've competed in the Australian-organised World Rally Proxy for several years and am entered in a Canadian-organised Targa Florio proxy later this year.
On a low-key basis I sell new and used slot cars and parts. As Slotcarmann Ltd I also sell a "soft" 26k mabuchi motor for classic 1/32 cars, plus resin body-kits under the brand names Tertre Rouge Racing Cars (TRRC) and Slotcar Models and Kits (SMK). Websites for those entities and re-stocks of kits will be available shortly, along with some new kits, following sugnificant problems with suppliers.
Cheers Dave

Hello everyone and thanks for the invitation Chris.
Martyn from Porthcawl, South Wales here.
Peer pressure has suggested I take up my old SF name again (hope you are reading this Lynne).
My big slot passion since getting into it 5 years ago is thrashing around at club meets and national meets. Mainly Slot.It and NSR classes. I just love having close heats with my pals.
Have meddled with a few GT kits as entries for Graham Lane's Mini Monte Carlo and now find a Munter C-type in build.
Am really enjoying learning/relearning as I go along and my reason for signing up was to see if I can get some advice to keep me building and improving.
Cheers, Martyn

Hello Martyn and welcome to the forum.
I've received much great and valued advice on both this and the F-one-thirty-two forum, as I'm sure you will. Chris and the guys are true gents and a fonts of all knowledge.
This has been my passion for a few years now, building and collecting vintage Scalextric.
I'm currently building 3 of Grahams kits, along with one of John Warrens and will post as I progress .
Post as you build and ask questions as you require.
I look forward to viewing your posts.
All the best.
Brian

Welcome to the forum Martyn.
You might care to post a picture or two in the 'Past Sports Car Builds' section. What is your favourite era?
Peter.

Hi all, I'm Brian for the North East of England. I love Vintage Scalextric and any high detailed modern slot cars. I was introduced to scratch building by a club member and cannot get enough of it. Sadly I work away from home and only have the time to build when on leave. I have built 13 cars to date with 3 currently in progress and I have 6 kits sitting waiting for my attention. One of which is a Pre-wing Ferrari Chris I have learned much from my fellow builders and improve with every build and I am always reviewing and refining my building processes. There are many builders to aspire too on this forum and I thank them for there sage advice. I've also taken to the scenery and photography of the hobby. Thank you Chris and to all the artists who produce the stunning bodies and kits. All the best. Brian
