I'm going through a Cobra stage at the moment and have used this slot car as my avatar (for now). This is an Auto Hobbies Daytona Cobra body from the mid 1960's mated to Revell ladder chassis, the wheels are Cox GT40 and not strictly accurate but look nice. The white stripes and rear panel were masked and sprayed. The car is loosely based on a car from the 12hr race at Reims in France in 1964 driven by Dan Gurney and Bob Bondurant. Thanks, Pete

First off, Welcome Pete!
That's a nice Cobra, I've always like those Auto Hobbies, Cobras, they capture the essence of the real thing.
I had one in the U.K. many eons ago, when they were new. I was always in awe of the thin plastic body with snap-in lexan (or whatever it was) one piece windows.
Now all you need is a Dan Gurney for President Sticker.

That is a nice car. I have admired it before and elsewhere.

Thanks Guys.
Chris, it is a great bodyshell, I don't think there were many better back in the day, the Monogram's were on par though.
