Some while back I built a 300SL Gullwing around a body which I assume was based on the Slot Classic model. Shortly after, I started on another Gullwing and a Roadster. The second Gullwing is for another time, the Roadster is very slowly gathering pace! I took no early pictures, those shown are the earliest. The front end has been altered to include a full front valance, a feature alas lacking in the original model. A sidelight is mounted below the headlamp. The tail involved far more work than imagined! Still, it's come out ok. The chassis is one from George, not from a Corvette as the picture suggests, but from a Cunningham. The wheels are MRRC, but I won't use these again as they are made for at a guess 2.37mm or less? Slot it axles don't fit, neither does my preferred piano wire. Tyres are urethane Scaley copies at the rear and original Airfix at the front. I think the guide is Ninco. The motor is a standard Scaley. It the car runs to my satisfaction, I will try different motors etc, if not; we'll see....... Peter.
