I recently completed this build. Master by the late Martin Field - RIP Martin I present to you my Bill Shaw Rover P6 as raced at Mallory Park in 1970. I’ve made a brass and Slot.it inserted chassis. Wheels and tyres (Ortmann)are from RSSLOTRACING I reshaped the wheel arches and changed the height of the near side door shut lines.

As a child My father had all iterations of the P6 Rover. By far my favourite was a Mexico Brown V8, which my Dad bought for my grandad Jack, my idol. When I passed my test my grandad used to loan it to me. The first time I had it, had just picked up my girl friend, now wife and I thought I’d killed it. Luckily it had only ran out of petrol. Even luckier it had a reserve tank. When I first got into slot cars, I met a lovely bloke called Dave Wisdom. Through Dave, I got into scratch building. From cars to scenery, for which I am eternally grateful. One day whilst interrogating the internet, I came across images of his previous builds, one of which was his beautiful P6 Rover. I wanted to build one from that moment. Here’s mine above. Please, what do you think? Of all the cars I’ve built and collected this to me is the most special. Thank you.
