Very nice Chris, quite a transformation. I think the M1B is the best looking Can-Am McLaren. Any reason you didn't build a side- or angle- winder chassi?
Best Wishes
David

Any reason you didn't build a side- or angle- winder chassis? Best Wishes David Hi David, As the first anglewinder did not show up until early 1967, and this was a 1966 car, I decided not to use an anglewinder....(as simple and nonsensical as that). As far as a sidewinder, I have only 31mm between the inside flanges of the rear wheels (the car is tiny), and there is just no room for a a reasonably powered motor (FC-130)........so an inline FF050 it is. Given the very short guide lead and narrow width, the car handles remarkably well. Here is the Strombecker M1B beside a Slot-it M8D.....which is far from a big car
