Fiat Abarth 1000SP build-chassis and cockpit

Here is my latest achievement.

In 1969 the Ecurie Fiat-Abarth France entered in class SP 1000-cc at the Le Mans 24-hour Race for the Italians Maurizio Zanetti and Ugo Locatelli. They retire in the second hour with ignition trouble.

The Slot Car
Kit GMC
For the barquetta I build a chassis in anglewinder version. The bodywork was lightened and the openings pierced. Some accessories have been replaced and others added.
The white and adhesive tapes on the Plexiglas headlamps protectors were painted. The installation of the hood No51 caused me some difficulties because of its rigidity due to its aging.
The mass is 96grams.
Chassis light alloy 0.5mm, deliberately left in the "prototype" look.

Thanks for the compliments.
I have a lot of fun building a specific chassis. Realization that I don’t systematically do for each car.
The choice is mainly arbitrary or exceptionally due to the type of construction of the real car.
