When I first got to the States, a German friend who was racing Super-V's took me to Daytona (as crew). He was in the support race for the 1975 Daytona 24 hour race. I remember two things. That the BMW CSL Batmobiles were two of the noisiest cars I have ever heard. (Matra's are even louder). And the Greenwood Corvetts were the biggest, most ostentatious and unreliable machines ever made.(too much power, without the drive train to support that power), they were huge. What a great 24 hours, because I was crew for the super-V, so I had the run of the place. Willy T Ribs won the Super V race, my friend dropped out with a seized motor. The winner of the 24 hour race was Gregg / Haywood in a Porsche Carrera RSR Brumos Porsche.

Made a bit of a mess with the paint, but I'm hoping it will rub down/polish out. There are small areas of orange peeling on the roof, hood and trunk. Look at me using American terms. Fuel tank painted red. Couple of days for the paint to harden, then buffing will commence. Windows in to see how the fit. BR. Brian

Not really my cup of tea, but I appreciate the work which has gone into this build, a build which justifies the effort.
Is the window net a decal or an actual net?
Peter.

Hi Peter, It's not my cup of tea either, but it has grown on me since I started the build. Been quite a awkward build this one. The car itself was a prize I picked up last year from Slot car builder on Facebook. Quite impressed with the quality of the shell. Cheers. Brian

Jean-Pierre,
Thanks for your kind comments.
The decals on this car were my most difficult to date.

The chap who was making me the correct wheel inserts has gone quiet, so I've altered some I had in a box for now (or forever). I've also fitted brake discs. Weathers poor in the UK. Intend to take some better pic's when it improves. BR. Brian
