A Morgan SLR.
These were built by Chris Lawrence to go over a Morgan Plus Four chassis. Previously just one was built on a TR4 chassis and was therefore a little shorter, but otherwise very similar, although it appears to wear VERY big wire wheels and tyres.
The three Morgan based cars also differ a little. the green and red ones are almost identical with each other, but the polished ally one, now, at least, has more bulbous front wings and an entirely different window fixing system, probably following the fire it was in in its garage.
The TR4 based car
I have prepared drawings to work from by finding a satisfyingly distant sideview and tracing off the computer screen, then tidying up the curves by hand. This now needs to be sized down to 92% for the model, which will be made in Ureol in the usual way.
People can then buy 4 kits and have one of each including modifying the polished ally one and the TR4 based one.
I am doing this model for the embryonic sports car range for RS Slotracing. Colin is casting his own bodies and his range has started Pre War with an Amilcar and Post War with an AC Ace. The Amilcar and Ace are available now.
