Here's my warts and all 1933 Alfa Romeo 1:32 Airfix kit conversion. I've manage to drop it twice damaging the front mud guard supports. Spent hours on this already. Going to paint this in period Alfa red.

Jim, Here's a photo of the under carriage to show the ppl chassis I have adapted for my Alfa. I've been working on the canvas cover for the rear seat.

I've made the cover out of a wash leather. Using the few remaining rivets I have I need to polish the primer, which is proving to be difficult because of the awkward form of the car. I have managed to keep the gear stick and hand brake.

Update on the Alfa 8C build. Dash and door handles to paint and fit. Hand brake, steering wheel and gear stick to paint and fit. Sump pan and buckles to paint.Bluing to add to exhaust. Decals to apply. Being called back to work early, so I will make a concerted effort to complete the build (minus driver, will have to make some purchases from Immense Miniatures). Brian

Well here's my 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C. Pictures are a little dull due to the poor light. Complete, other than clear coating and a driver. Work beckons once more. I will the the Aston DBR1 to hopefully continue. I wet to paint the shell and the filler I used on it had not harden, so it has been refilled ready for rubbing down and priming I may revisit the canopy as I would like a thinner leather (dyed black). Looking good Brian, and the track pictures of course always look the part. It makes me think of Greenmans well known build. I've had one on the go for years, a fair bit of time having been spent modifying the tail.
It's actually on my list of cars to do, so is gradually working its way to the front.
Peter.

Hi Peter,
As you can see I'm using our club rally track as a back drop for my builds of late as it gives them another dimension. At some point I'm going to go routed with my home slot car track and detail it as Mr Wisdom has with the club rally track.
I've just googled Greenmans Alfa Romeo and it led me back to the slotforum. I had never seen his builds before and I have to say they look the part and his drivers are awesome.
There are just not enough hours in the day, wish I could retire tomorrow and spend my life building slot cars.
Cheers.
Brian

Dear Brian,I have been using small thin split pins and using the plastic wing struts as templates. This technique works very well for me when building vintage and veteran cars.I hope this tip helps improve the strength of your cars as it has for me. Yours Sincerely, Jim S.
