I have a number of projects which ideally need decals made, so I thought I’d see what interest there might be. These will initially be a one off exercise
The decal sheet being prepared will contain Ecurie Ecosse logos in pairs, Ferrari logos in threes (two side shields and rectangular badge for the front), NART badges, MG radiator badges (black on white and brown on cream), AC (Ace/Cobra) badges with Powered by Ford together with at least two early Alfa Romeo radiator badges and maybe a Bugatti radiator badge.
The awkward bit about such a product is that postage will cost more that the item. Costing is expected thus;
Pair of Ecurie Ecosse badges 50p Set of three Ferrari badges 50p Set of badges for Cobra 75p Individual badges, Alfa Romeo, NART, MG etc 25p each.
Is there interest?
Peter.

Hello Peter,
I would be happy to take four sheets....I hope the Bugatti radiator badge is included in the sheet.

Hi Peter
The Ecurie Ecosse, Bugatti, Alfa are all of interest to me - like John I'd take 4 sheets or even more if it helps to make it viable. I don't suppose whilst you are doing this you could add 'ECURIE NAPHTRA COURSE' in white? I need this for my Alfa 308, Coupe de la Resistance car (sorry to introduce a GP car to this Forum!) and was about to cobble it together from a GTM number plate decal set - slightly large. The lettering needs to be small, 1 -1.5 mm would be about right.
Best Regards
David

Hi David.
I'll certainly look into it as I have a possibly passable image of the 'ECURIE NAPHTRA COURSE' logo in the correct script. If things work out with the work on this image, I'll mail you.
The first decal sheet which I have done will be all test images and so long as I get the images which I require for my own projects, this initial sheet can contain any additional images within reason.
My intention is only to make the decals which cannot be bought elsewhere at a reasonable cost.
Peter.

A bit of a miscalculation means that these decals will be at least half of the quoted prices.
Peter.

I would be interested - are you doing them as one sheet with a range of badges on them?
cheers David

I would be interested - are you doing them as one sheet with a range of badges on them? cheers David I'm really not sure yet. One reason for gauging the interested before I actually did the layout of the sheet was to figure out the quantities etc, so if there's stuff on the list of particular interest (or indeed stuff of no interest, let me know. There would be little point including 20 pairs of NART badges if no one but me wants them. Most likely I'll provide for two small sheets, one each for a small number of pre-war and post war styles, then I might also do sheets of each type, perhaps 10 of each. I'm aiming to finish the artwork this week if I can, then do the layout ASAP. Peter.

The first of the decals are now with me and I'm pretty pleased with them. These are I laser printed onto clear decal sheet and will thus need the actual decal sheet cutting out for each decal. They are printed at 600dpi, so bear in mind that the 3mm Bugatti badges for example, are only 72 dots across so don't look at them with a magnifying glass..... I finally decided to do two sheets, one for pre-war and one for post-war. This is the pre-war. At the top we have early (up to 1925) Alfa Romeo and Bugatti. Below this is the post-1925 Alfa Romeo. A wreath was added after Alfa won the 1925 World Championship. Next are the Trifoglios as used on the 1925 GP cars, perhaps others too. Next will be found the Scuderia Ferrari shield found on so many cars in the mid-1930s, with a couple of pre-1952 brown and cream MG badges. At the bottom, two pairs of different Quadrifoglios. On to the post-war badges. At the top again we have Ferrari shields with Ferrari nose badges, with on their right, a post-1952 black and white MG badge and a couple of Cobra badges. Under these we have Ecurie Ecosse shields and a NART badge. More of these as you go down, plus a pair of 'Powered by Ford' side badges. The layout does vary from sheet to sheet. The cost will now be £3.00 per sheet plus postage. Peter.

Peter: I had contact with Colin from another Forum when he first started printing using an Alps Printer, and then more contact when he brought the OKI C711WT. I am always on the look out a replacement for my Alps Printers. While the OKI will print white it will only print the white last, so cannot put down white as an under coat like the Alps does.
