Here is the first built up and painted wheel. A 36 spoke, Austin 7 type wheel.
This is made from 4 separate discs, to give maximum texture and "relief".
I shall build the 48 and 60 spoke wheels today.
We have some sizing issues which will be corrected by the etchers immediately. On such a fine wheel, it is all too easy to get tolerances to the point where close means interference! The spokes are VERY fragile to give a fine look, but are proving just a little too fragile, so I will specify a slightly increased line weight to the spoke a/w. This should all get done within the next week.
