This is the XJ 13 as built, not the silly show car Jaguar hawk about. I have had a lot of help from Neville Swales, who is building the definitive replica of the original XJ13, right down to a working original 4 cam V 12 and original spec. rivets. The model is intended for a PP sidewinder chassis so that the interior can be modelled complete and detailed. Cheers, Martin

Nice Martin, I remember that. Why didn't it see the light of resin?

I got busy with customer work, John. I now have a company interested in taking it, who have nothing to do with cars at all, except Sci-Fi. I would rather a proper slot-car company have it, but who?

That really is an beautifully realised model of arguably the most gorgeous Jaguar ever conceived. Have you progressed it any further?

Hi Alfetta,
That Jag is the work of the notorious Martin Field. He comes and goes as the mood suits him, I'm sure you know who he is. Eventually I sumise he will complete the master, and post something about it.
It may take a while, but he will probable return. (music from a bad horror film should be inserted here). Martin if you're out there, it's all in good fun!

I can't get anyone to take it on, Chris. Maybe because it never raced? It wouldn't take much to finish it for a suitable customer.

Area71 has just launched one of these, along with the '70s XJC racer.

Does that include a chassis?
No idea if it's a good deal or not, but it's available so the builder can at least make a choice

It is NOT the XJ 13. It is the silly show car Jag built with the wrong wheels, bastardised monocoque, wide arches, etc., etc. Mine is the XJ13, the car that would have raced had it not crashed. My information comes from Neville Swales, who has painstakingly built the replica that even Norman Dewis couldn't tell apart from the real car.
